Our story

LOKE has delivered technology to 1,000’s of operators globally

In 2014, LOKE was founded in Adelaide, Australia, by two foodies who believed in the power of food and drinks to connect people: Matt Khoury & Tom Booth.

Matt was six years old when he started helping in the kitchen of his family’s restaurants, cafes, and takeaway stores. He has Lebanese roots, so hospitality is in his DNA.

Tom’s passion for cooking, eating, and hosting comes from his Greek heritage. His famous BBQ lamb has been gathering friends and family for years.

 

Matt and Tom’s shared values cemented their friendship years ago and inspired LOKE’s purpose. A humble dream with a big ambition; to build communities and empower hospitality businesses to unlock their full potential with the help of technology.

 
 

Our teams all share the same spirit! We have visited thousands of venues, gathered feedback and tested solutions based on real experiences. As LOKE expanded, so did our people. Their talent and passion for the business allowed us to become pioneers in contactless mobile payments. And together, we’ve set out to solve some of the age-old issues faced by the industry worldwide, evolving and keeping abreast of new trends to offer the best and most innovative solutions.

Since our humble beginnings, we have attracted major hospitality brands globally. Our clients are our greatest pride. When they win, we win. Their enthusiasm and trust are our everyday motivation and constantly push us to learn and grow.
